Listening to Epica. Epica is God.

My hair is very insane today. All I did was scrunch it, and this is how different it looks!

Which is weird, because usually all I do is... not scrunch it. Never thought scrunching was so powerful.

Don't like my fringe area though. The hairs are annoyingly short and thus they frizz the most. Oh and apparently, all of the red from my last dye job has faded to a sad brown. I must re-dye soon.

HAIR, Y U NO BUTT-LENGTH ALREADY?

I am cleaning my room, listening to E-Type (Free Like A Flying Demon- good song), looking forward to a hot chocolate later and maybe a couple hours of playing my old Jak 2 game. I have nothing to complain about.

:D

I'm oddly happy despite a hefty art final that I have to do and mom's chemo tomorrow. I'm not complaining at all, this is a very nice mood I'm in.

Here's a random picture of me I just found, lookin like an elf. :P I am a weirdo.

COMPUTER MASCHINE PANZERMENSCH

Freshly dyed hair... *sniffs it* Still smells like harsh chemicals. *Looks at it in the mirror* And it's still not red enough. I'm slowly building up to my ideal color. Mind you, my natural color is black, so at least this is something.

I'm, like, an episode away from the finale of Lost. Now they killed Sayid, and Sun and Jin, those damn writers. They offed all my favorite characters. I haven't been this annoyed since they killed off Ana Lucia.

Back hurts, I think I pulled a muscle while moving furniture around my room. It's nothing too bad, but it's annoying.

My cousins from Guadalajara are coming to visit this Friday and staying for Thanksgiving. I am happy, I miss them. :)

I have a feeling I'm going to wake up with a red-stained pillowcase tomorrow morning.

This made me laugh a lot. I'm going to try it with Luna. :P

Shit, midnight always has a way of creeping up on me.

So, Sucker Punch was very awesome. Kickass. It makes me want to go out and fight and be free and all that. And I want the soundtrack. :D

Also! I forgot to mention what happened when a UPS guy that came this afternoon. I was signing for the package that came (It was for Paulina). He said to me out of the blue: "You have nice hair."
Me: *Blinks a couple of times* "Thanks."
I was left in mild confusion for a bit, and then I was flattered. I do have nice hair. It was damn nice of him to notice. ;P

Anyway, I told Paulina, and the crazy wench says:
Paulina: "Was he young?"
Me: "Twenty-ish, I guess."
Paulina: "Was he cute?"
Me: "I guess..." (I honestly don't remember, so I guess he was pretty average. :P)
Paulina: "You should have asked for his number. That's how these things happen."
Me: "... ... ...No."

I should have seen it coming.

Sushi for dinner... and ASJASDHKALFB INTERNET IS SO EFFIN SLOW!

People tell me I look like Anne Hathaway. Thanks guys, but I really don't think so.

It's laughable. Go on, laugh. And this was the most average-looking picture of her I could find. Oh, hang on:

Yeah, this is probably what they meant. That's what my hair looks like if I let it dry naturally. Eh, I tell myself I look like Kate from Lost and go about my day.

Dream on!

Lame blackout.

Yay, I survived the blackout. Yeah. It was actually really disappointing, I was hoping to have an interesting survival/adventure story of how we survived several days without electricity, but no. The SDG&E people exaggerated this blackout. We spent maybe nine hours without electricity, which was nothing.

However, I'm very proud to say that the moment the power went out, I sprang into survival mode. Step one, find the man-powered radio and tune in to the news. After I hear that it'll be a while before the electricity will come back, I move on to step two: Find all flashlights and put them in reaching distance, also gather some candles and matches.

Optional is step three (which I did, I wasn't panicking or anything, but I rather be safe than sorry): Gather all emergency survival bags and first aid kits and put them somewhere you can get quickly. Call me stupid and paranoid, but how the hell was I supposed to know this wasn't a terrorist attack or something? Or maybe in a terrible twist of fate, a huge earthquake struck right then in the middle of our blackout? San Diego has a few fault lines, after all.

Hehe, I feel dumb now, but people will be thanking me once the zombie apocalypse comes down on us. I don't plan on dying, you know. :P

Anyway, yesterday was Paulina's friend Juliette's quinceaƱera, and I danced until my feet got blisters. It was awesome. I straightened my hair for it, and it is now slightly past my waist. Yay!

Sad about closing bookstores, but happy at 25 to 50 percent off!

I went to Borders today. I'm kinda bummed that they're closing, but I got some books there for a really good price!

Thirst series by Christopher Pike, one of my favorite authors. All three for about seven dollars.

Aaaand, this little gem. When I draw, the poses are so stiff, so I'm hoping this will help me. Draw Comic Book Action

I'm currently reading this: (omg creeper)

I'm on a total vampire craze for some reason. Also, in case it's not obvious, I'm wearing my PE shirt from middle school. As jammies.

Obligatory camwhore shot:

Lol I totally ignored this list of books I was planning to read this year.

Listening to Delerium - Fallen

So... henna kind of sucks at covering up patches of hair that have been bleached into oblivion. -__- I had to buy hair dye at Target. Dark Auburn. It turned out really nice! Except for my roots, which I hope will fade a little. I don't have a picture, but I hope I will tomorrow.

Anyway, short post. I have a few things to do right now. Like, paint. And watch Game of Thrones or something.

I finally finished watching all five seasons of Doctor Who

Yesterday afternoon, I:

Bleached my hair to an ungodly ass-blonde color.

It looks ugly now, but I'm going to henna it tomorrow and there will be pretty redness in my hair.

Today afternoon, I:

Went to the movies with my dad and sister. We went to see The Art of Getting By. My god, what a bore. Freddie Highmore played an interesting character, but I was really indifferent about it otherwise.

Ate at Pei Wei. Dan Dan Noodles were good, but Paulina's Pad Thai was better. Mmm. There was one of these incredibly cool soda machines there:

Aww yeah.

Just a few minutes ago, I:

Cleaned this shit off my bed.

While wearing my Rose Tyler pants (which I should probably call Rose Tyler sweats, because I believe "pants" is synonymous to "knickers" in the UK . lol who cares I ain't even British.)

While wearing this lipstick, for no reason other than WHY THE HELL NOT:

While my ghetto-colored hurr is in this messy style:

While listening to this:

The end.

Senior year of high school is coming to a close, and as much as I have yearn for that glorious day (have since like the sixth grade) it unfortunately means that I have a lot of work to get done these days. Thankfully I gave in and asked my mom for help; I've been getting really caught up and I'm no longer failing Economy.

Mom's been feeling really sick these days. I'm going to be really glad when this is all over. Chemo is really taking a toll on her.

Also, my grandpa is at the hospital right now because it seems he had a small stroke. Doctors haven't confirmed on that. He was feeling a lot better when we last heard, though, so I'm sure he'll be okay.

So, crappy news all around.

The only thing that could maybe possibly cheer me up is the concert I'm going to with Paulina and her friend Juliette. Er... This one to be specific. -_______- I'm not exactly thrilled by the music that will be played there, but my sister already bought me the ticket, so... ugh. I feel guilty. One ticket wasted by a girl who absolutely abhors the lineup. I'm probably taking a book or something with me. A bit of entertainment at least. I will try my hardest to have as much fun as possible, that's for damn sure. I need fun right now, which is why I agreed to go in the first place. Getting ready will be fun though.:D Lookin forward to that!

Wow, it's eleven AM and the house is dead silent. I would put some music on or something, except my mom and my Tia Melitza are sleeping.

Uh, here's a picture of me and my hair:

Probably waist-length if I straighten it.
Also, happy Friday the thirteenth!

Comic idea

I have an idea for a comic. Er... for my Harry Potter fanfic. Like a little snippet of my writing made into comic form.
Yeah. Cause it's awesome.
It's not completely done yet, but it's awesome.
Just kidding.

Hehe, am watching 90's SNLs. Funny.

I want my hair to be this long:

Perhaps even longer.

Things I Am Currently Obsessed With

This post is going to be about things I am currently obsessed with, like music, art, whatever. But I want to start out by writing about my FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE!

First, a little background on my life, school-wise. In the sixth grade my family moved from Tucson, Arizona to San Diego, California. The move was especially hard on me. I was leaving two of my best friends and entering the unknown. It was too much for my innocent psyche. I vowed to not talk to anyone, or even look at anyone, to blend into the background. (I'm serious about this. I had a list that stated these and other depressing points.)

Anyway, from that moment on I saw saw school and all the people in it as the enemy. I made one friend in middle school, but then I went to a different high school than her, and made two friends. But I still had remnants of that negative mindset plus a different view of life than them. I hated the pettiness and shallowness of high school. I felt alienated and lonely, and in the tenth grade I became depressed. I could go really in-depth about all this, but this is getting long as it is. Long story short, I've been going to school online since the eleventh grade. I have one semester left of school, but I'm also taking a college class, which I LOVE.

I was ridiculously excited to start going to school again. I got all dolled up on Wednesday and skipped happily to my class, and even socialized. The past me would not have recognized this person. The people in my class are cool, not the usual douchebags from high school, and the teacher is pretty badass, I think. I am excited to go back on Monday. I may be the youngest in my class, but I feel all grown up.

Anyway, on to my obsessions:

Lackadaisy

The coolest webcomic ever. In my humble opinion. The comic is about cats from the nineteen twenties, during the prohibition era, running a speakeasy called Lackadaisy. I love cats, I love the nineteen twenties, and I love comics. Anyone who loves these things should read Lackadaisy.

Tori Amos

Tori Amos is sort of a new/renewed discovery. My dad had her Beekeeper CD and I listened to it a lot the summer before eleventh grade. But last night I was surfing (does anyone even use that word anymore?) youtube and I came across Tori, and I discovered a hell of a lot more songs that I had never heard before, and I fell in love again. Among my favorites are "Blood Roses," and "Jackie's Strength." Also the video for "A Sorta Fairytale" is so strange, and yet oddly beautiful. Here is "Blood Roses."

Dressing Magically

In the tenth grade I started getting really into Wicca and Witchcraft and stuff, and, almost three years later I still have witchy tendencies and believe in magic (I've always believed in magic actually). A post in Moonshine Junkyard was my inspiration, so I found this site that tells you the colors of the day of the week. I've only been doing it this week but I'm probably going to get tired of it after a while. Still, it's fun to add a little magic to your daily wardrobe. I don't have any pictures, unfortunately.

Hats

Not Using Shampoo

I recently started going shampoo-free, and it's going better than I expected. I tried going shampoo-free a couple of times before, but I got frustrated and gave up. This time, my hair got really awfully greasy, and then I read about using baking soda, so I tried it, and I love it! My hair feels good and not greasy at all. Hopefully I won't start shampooing again, since I have a history on giving up on these things.

Anyway, I'd best be off to make a dent in my reading list.  The Lord of the Rings awaits!
